Seventh Farm is one in a million. We have been collaborating since 2008, giving horse riding enthusiasts a chance to discover the art of horsemanship. Its teachers are absolute superstars who have dedicated their lives to graduating capable, confident riders and training their equestrian companions.

Electrodynamic Technologies

Documentation of a highly specialized approach to space debris removal—namely, propellantless technology. My job was to showcase these unique and sophisticated methodologies in a colorful, comprehensible way. The result is a fascinating read enhanced by bold visuals. Reach out to its inventor for a stellar chat!

Dealer Spike
2015⸺2017
developer
Labors of a front-end only stint at a pointedly niche agency. Dealer Spike had me style and customize CMS templates to produce catchy, responsive websites for marine and powersports dealerships nationwide. I averaged one to two builds per week, which was intense. This batch is but a fraction of the deliverables!

Select landing pages and newsletters I assembled for DemandRamp’s top Bay Area clients. These were generally mellow assignments involving CMS code wrangling in order to structure heaps of dry reading material. (Click image center to open archived versions.)

Papær Æffinity
2005⸺2022
designer / developer / artist
My former creative playground, which culminated at 600 art pieces—from illustrations, comics, storyboards, animations, to sketches. It has seen 21 drastically different designs, forming a chronological gradient of relatively safe to overly ornate. Its final iteration was retired due to brazen stalking (sad but true).

Here we have a browser game written by my sibling, notorious for making difficult single-player brain teasers. This design features a Victorian landscape by John Atkinson Grimshaw overlapped by a downpour of musical notes. Give it a go! Just remember to keep your cursor near the paddle.

Studio Ghibli is amazing and Spirited Away is easily my favorite animation. I drafted a ten-page tribute to one of its protagonists shortly after watching it. My tiny shrine was flooded all the way up to its hiatus. Then 2022 happened and I revived it. Because it is as nerdy as it is endearing!

Russian Soul
2011⸺2022
designer / developer
Legacy of a serendipitous match: the Russian Cultural Center in Minneapolis wanted online representation and I an artistic project. We joined forces and made a beautiful, bilingual website. I, like their many members, had the pleasure of learning from its founders and basking in their incredible hospitality.

Portfolio for a one-woman science communications, eLearning, and curriculum creation company in Saint Paul, Minnesota. We worked together on and off for several years, which resulted in two fabulous designs (latest displayed here). The owner is a gem—big thinker and a devoted educator.

G.W. Densetsu
2001⸺2009
designer / developer / artist
Literary repository for over 200 writers and artists from around the world. Redesigned annually (at least). I did this while proofreading, editing, and posting the deluge of submissions it received. I even managed to sneak in some comic drawing. This was a high maintenance commitment, but I loved it and devoted eight years of my life to it. No regrets!

Code so light it elevates the internet. Design as distinct and unique as you. Affordable, aesthetic, awesome. Three behind-the-scenes facts:
○ All code is hand-written!
○ 100% original art: illustrations, photos, icons, logos, backgrounds…
○ All featured projects (except Dealer Spike) are a solo job. Whoa!
